The sports sector in Lithuania, as in the whole of Europe, is growing very rapidly. More and more people are discovering sport and its benefits for health and quality of life. The sports club becomes one of the main places on the agenda. As the sports sector grows, so does the sports offering, which allows people to choose the form of sport that is most acceptable to them.

Two types of gyms are currently on the rise: low-cost, 24-hour gyms and small, organized, specific group gyms. These are two rapidly growing sports club models, one of which we are part of. Everyone can find a suitable sports club in Vilnius and other Lithuanian cities.

24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Cheap sports clubs are a very suitable choice for many people, especially young people. Because memberships to these sports clubs cost little, from 10 to 50 euros. per month, these clubs operate on a model where they try to have as many members as possible at an affordable price. In these clubs, most memberships are long-term, but only a small percentage of registered people regularly attend sports clubs.

These sports clubs are usually equipped to a very high standard, they have modern and very expensive exercise equipment, almost all of which comes with instructions on how to use it. Therefore, these clubs become a great choice for people who want to train individually or according to a special program. Such clubs are also trying to adapt to popular training programs by installing special free weight zones. Unfortunately in these areas the explanations on how to exercise are no longer enough. Starting to play sports in such a sports club is not the best choice for beginners who, due to lack of experience and information about sports, such training will not bring tangible results, which will result in a decrease in attendance at the sports club. The likelihood of injuries also increases when playing sports individually.

PERSONAL TRAINING

These or clubs open 24/7 become the ideal place to train with a personal trainer. This is a particularly popular way of training at the moment, as it is a great way to learn how to exercise correctly, follow a discipline or a certain sports program. Personal training is one of the most expensive ways of training, prices for such training in Lithuania range from 20 to 100 euros. for once. However, the individual attention of the trainer guarantees the highest quality of training. When choosing personal training, it is very important to choose a professional trainer to whom you can entrust your health. Almost all sports clubs in Vilnius offer personal trainer services.

GROUP TRAINING IN SMALL GROUPS

Small group training offers visitors to sports clubs the opportunity to practice with sufficient attention from a coach and pay less than when working with a coach personally. Depending on the sports club, the duration of a group training varies from 5 to 12 euros. When choosing a sports club for group lessons, it is very important to choose the right training methodology for the sports club, as well as choose a sports club based on the qualifications of the coaches working there, as well as the process of integrating new members. In our club, all CrossFit training takes place in small groups of up to 10 people, so we aim to ensure the coach’s attention to each training participant. Additionally, all new members must attend a special beginner’s course, designed to integrate new members into Amber CrossFit training. TRAINING METHODOLOGY

As the sports sector grows, so do the various group training programs or methodologies. Currently, training programs that are based on high intensity training are popular all over the world. However, very often such workouts are harmful to clients, due to excessive load or improperly performed exercises, when choosing intensity rather than quality of exercises. Furthermore, more and more different sports clubs are trying to create their own training programs naming them with similar names. These workouts involve the same exercises as CrossFit, but without any long-term training program or structure. Often without the sure attention of the trainers, due to the fact that the classes are large and the clients do not have the basic knowledge.

One of the fundamental principles that differentiates Amber CrossFit training from other similar training methods is that:

  • Actual training program – The Amber CrossFit training program is created by evaluating the current physical condition of our members, we actively respond to changes and member needs.
  • Let’s analyze the training data – To monitor training progress, we use modern technologies that allow us to monitor the sporting results and progress of our members. Based on this, we create a training methodology focused on the long-term sporting results of our members.
  • Quality of training – the training takes place in small groups of maximum 10 people. This ensures quality attention from the coach for each training participant.
  • Sports basics – All new members who wish to attend our training must follow a special training course – Getting Started.
  • Training plan – Amber CrossFit workouts follow a clearly structured training plan that includes a warm-up, strength/skill portion, followed by a Workout of the Day (WOD) followed by a cool-down portion of each workout. First of all, we focus on the correct and high-quality execution of exercises before intensity.

It is important to note that official CrossFit sports clubs are very different from sports clubs that provide similar workouts. In CrossFit sports clubs, all training takes place according to a predetermined system and training plan. CrossFit sports clubs must meet high training quality requirements. Instructors working in CrossFit clubs must be certified and have a Level 1 CrossFit coach level.
