BCAAs provide support to muscles

BCAA (branched-chain amino acids) is a component of proteins. It is a combination of three different amino acids, necessary for muscle mass growth and recovery after training. It is believed that these amino acids make up 1/4 of our muscle proteins, so their use is especially important in all strength sports.

BCAA consists of three different amino acids, namely valine, leucine, isoleucine. BCAA amino acids belong to the essential amino acids, so the human body does not produce them on its own.

Isoleucine

  • The branched-chain amino acid is ready to be used for muscle tissue energy
  • Used to protect muscles from tearing
  • Necessary for the production of hemoglobin

Valinas

  • Branched-chain amino acid
  • It is not processed in the liver, so it is immediately sent to the muscles
  • Improves brain activity

Leucine

  • The branched-chain amino acid is used as an energy source
  • Reduces muscle breakdown for energy production
  • It contributes to the healing of wounds and broken bones

When are BCAA amino acid supplements needed?

Since the body does not produce certain amino acids, it is necessary to obtain them naturally through daily nutrition or by taking amino acid supplements. Even non-essential amino acids, produced by the body itself, are sometimes not enough for athletes.

In certain living conditions, poor nutrition, stress, intense sport, the human body can be particularly deficient in both essential and non-essential amino acids.

What is the importance of BCAA amino acid supplements for athletes?

  • Protects muscle proteins from breakdown
  • Accelerates recovery after physical effort
  • Reduces the risk of damage to muscle mass
  • Increases muscle strength

BCAAs are a component of myoglobin, the most important muscle protein in humans. Myoglobin stores oxygen and supplies the entire muscular system during exercise. When muscles work, energy substances and BCAAs decrease in them, and when they are lacking, the synthesis of serotonin is activated in the brain. Pastoral concentration causes a sense of tiredness and inhibition. It has been established that with a sufficient amount of BCAAs, the production of seratonin decreases, so during intense and prolonged physical exertion a person no longer feels tired or sleepy.

When the body lacks BCAA amino acids

  • Muscle tissues are destroyed
  • Muscle pain is felt
  • It’s hard to build muscle
  • Energy decreases
  • Muscles are unable to recover after exercise

To avoid these effects and prevent muscle breakdown, you should also use dietary supplements containing BCAAs or simply single BCAA products. The use of BCAAs is especially important for people who participate in intense sports, because the body’s need for BCAAs is greater with higher loads.
