OPEN 2026: what awaits us this year
Three weeks in a row:
- every week a new official OPEN workout is published
- we do it at the Amber CrossFit Club
- results are recorded in the official CrossFit system

🔥 Friday night lights
27 FEBRUARY – 6 MARCH – 13 MARCH
This is the heart of OPEN. Every Friday, the Amber CrossFit gym becomes an arena. Friday Night Lights are special OPEN Friday nights where the Amber CrossFit gym is full of excitement, support and a real competitive atmosphere.
Every Friday, after the official announcement of the CrossFit OPEN workout, we will invite athletes to perform it live and the entire community to support, stand together and create unforgettable OPEN moments.
These nights are not just for those who train, but also for the entire Amber CrossFit community: coaches, friends, family and anyone who wants to experience the true CrossFit OPEN atmosphere.
Friday Night Lights isn’t just about sports. It’s the friendship, the support and the moments that last longer than the three OPEN weeks.
Preparation plan and important dates
Registration for OPEN
We encourage all of our members to officially register for CrossFit OPEN now. The more we come together, the more community strength we will show to the world! Registrations for the CrossFit Open 2026 are open until 11.59pm on March 2 (while it is still possible to enter the results of the first WOD).
Team building
This year’s four captains: Justė, Laura, Rusnė and Liudas recruit everyone who signed up for their teams. The more active members a team has, the more points it will get later.
To maintain the same number of participants in teams, we apply the rule that the team with the most members cannot recruit new members, as long as the difference between the teams with the most and least members is greater than 10. If team “A” has 35 members and team “B” has 30 members, team “A” cannot recruit more members until team “B” reduces the difference.
Why participate?
- Experience and community: OPEN is not just a competition. It’s an opportunity for everyone to come together, be inspired, share the joys, and overcome the challenges that CrossFit offers.
- Personal progress: Annual tests help you evaluate your sporting progress and compare yourself with a year ago.
- Ambition and recognition: We have already proven that we are the strongest in the country and the region, so this year we are aiming for even better results in Europe! The more of us participate, the better our chances of reaching the top together.
- Friendly competition: The team atmosphere encourages effort, the shared spirit invigorates and the Friday night lights are sure to inspire extra motivation.
- Competition tasks (WOD): CrossFit Open WODs will be posted weekly and we will do them and record the results.
- Personalization of training: Each WOD can be adapted to individual abilities – take your pick RX, Resized ar Foundations versions. Therefore, everyone, regardless of physical fitness, can participate and contribute to the overall success of the team.
- Points and credits: The results of each participant will contribute to the overall team score. Additional points will be awarded for active participation and evaluation.

*A point for sharing a CrossFit OPEN moment can be earned once per WOD (26.1, 26.2, 26.3), so an athlete can collect a maximum of 3 points during the entire OPEN period. The photo or video must clearly show the Amber CrossFit gym environment and the WOD performed or judged. @ambercrossfit certification required.
